So Who am I?
My name is Andy Gray. I took over Towright early in 2018. I am based in Bristol but will travel for customers.
I have worked in vehicle transport for several years now, but am pleased that Towright has given me the opportunity to work for myself. I am happy to move all types of vehicles throughout the UK - please give me a call for a price.
Through my own experience of the motor trade, I became aware of the many reasons vehicles must be moved from one location to another, often when they cannot be driven for one reason or another. As modern cars become more computer controlled it becomes less practical for small repairers to be able to have all the equipment needed to carry out repairs when these computer systems fail and therefore vehicles (often in an immobile state) need to be moved to a specialist for diagnostics and / or repair.
Also, with the internet now being the first choice for both businesses and individuals to advertise vehicles for sale, there is a significant increase in people buying vehicles online and needing to then arrange to have the vehicle transported.
Hence the reason for TowRight – to provide the transport and recover vehicles on behalf of customers who often don’t have the facilities or the time to do this themselves.
My aim is to provide a specialist service with full insurance cover and using purpose built equipment to carry out these transport needs for my customers, I cover Weston-super-Mare, Bristol and the South West.
Vehicle Recovery Equipment
My towing vehicle is a Land Rover Discovery with a plated towing weight of 3500kg, it has been professionally fitted with a tachograph to ensure compliance with DVSA (VOSA) regulations.
The trailer I use for all cars and small commercial vehicles is a purpose-built Brian James CarGo Connect twin axel with a maximum load weight of 2700kg, with a gross weight of 3500kg. The trailer is fitted with a tailgate ramp which can be quickly removed and 2.35m loading ramps used in its place – this allows for a minute 5 degree loading angle when combined with the fitted tilt-bed system, therefore even sportscars with the lowest ground clearance can be safely loaded (the change from tailgate to ramps can be done quickly on-site as / when necessary).
The trailer is fitted with a 4.5m bed length and has a Warrior 8000lbs electric winch fitted to ensure loading is easy. The trailer also has a full low sides kit fitted (3 panels per side plus front panel), this helps to protect the vehicle from stonechips and other debris from the road – side panels can be quickly dropped for easy access or can be removed if needed.

I am compliant with DVSA (VOSA) regulations including having a tachograph fitted to the tow vehicle.
I am also a member of the Institute of the Motor Industry.
